Assalamu’alaikum wrwb and the warmest greetings to everyone,
The time of the year has come! ![🎊]()
The Brunei Students’ Union in the UK and Eire is proud to present The 7th Annual Presidential Conference, bearing the theme of A Tetris Economy: Compatibility within Diversity!
UK society leaders and members, this is your chance to gain insight into the administrative workings of the BSU in relation with your society, the cornerstone to running one that serves the needs of Bruneian students in the UK with efficiency and excellence. This includes vital information regarding funding for flagship events, event calendars, and others.
On the flip side, this is our opportunity to gain insight into the challenges your society has faced and is expecting to face for the upcoming academic year, in the hopes of mitigating or completely overcoming them together.
But that’s not all! The second of this year’s two sessions is not limited to Bruneian students in the UK, as it will be a convergence of the public and the private in a dialogue focused on the nation’s pursuit of economic prosperity and where we, with our individual talents and capacities, stand in this pursuit.
Invited panel speakers will comprise of members of the government as well as the private sector, with invaluable insight and expertise in the matter of concern.
Have you ever wondered how big of an issue unemployment is in Brunei today? What about the opportunities available to you when you enter the job market post-graduation? Are these opportunities limited to what currently exists? What is the likelihood of success if you take a dip into new waters?
There may not be one-shot answers to these questions but join us in our discussion lest we lose the gem that is the piece of your mind.
As mentioned, the second session will be open to students all across the globe – from local institutions, from the West to the East, up north and down south! Your participation will be of great value to us.
Each society shall be represented by its President and one other member of its Executive Committee. In the instance that the President is prevented from representing his or her society, another ExCo member shall attend as the second representative.
