For three consecutive days from the 18th to 20th of August, Lufbru and BruLeics Society; two Bruneian Societies of university students from Loughborough and Leicester, UK respectively collaborated together to organise this year’s Lufbru Summer Games 2017. Lufbru Summer Games or otherwise well known as ‘LSG’ is a 3-day sports event and has been hosted in Brunei Darussalam for the eleventh time in a row. This year also marks the first time ever for Lufbru and their friendly neighbour, Bruleics, to collaborate for LSG.

Its main objective which caters to students studying overseas still remains the same for 11 years; to nurture students’ friendships through their passion for sports, to encourage a healthy fit lifestyle and to raise a healthy competitive environment amongst the youth. The motto for LSG 2017 was ‘Victory Through Determination’ as the LSG Executive Committee 2017 consisting of both Lufbru and Bruleics society members believe that it illustrates “how determination and enough of it, can and will lead to victory”
